World Cup 2006 Recap - Congrats ITALY
Italy is World Cup Champions...
I'm not much of a soccer fan, but I happen to follow the soccer match of Women's soccer during the late 1990's (esp. US women's soccer, Mia Hamm, etc.).
I'm more of a Brazil fan but they lost to France in the Quarterfinals, but I'm glad France didn't win the world cup either, too bad for Zidane which was given a red card after losing his temper.
All my favorites have been eliminated during the quarterfinals and semifinals - I was routing for Argentina and Germany also. Anyways, my friend Lowell got me hooked into watching every world cup game since the beginning because he knows all the players from the European leagues. Too bad he had to leave us here in KL 'coz I miss those early morning world cup games. Ole, ole, ole.
